Earlier last year, university authorities visited the Super 30 institute and later invited its founder and mathematician, Anand Kumar, to Japan. They agreed to sponsor a student for admission.
Proud moment

“Today they fulfilled their commitment. It is a very proud moment for me and all of us here in the institute,” Mr. Kumar told The Hindu. He further hoped that Japan, as the technological hub of the world, would provide a big opportunity to his student for global exposure.
“It’s like a dream come true … I’m yet to believe this fact but it all happened because of Anand sir,” Mr. Dilip Gupta said.
Abhishek would be getting admission to the International Program on Environmental Sciences at College of Arts and Sciences, Komaba, under the Kikuchi-UTokyo Scholarship programme.
