Drills to deal with terrorist attacks

Drills to deal with terrorist attacks

With terrorism having become the biggest concern of the world, vulnerable institutions are not taking any chances. One such is the Madras Regimental Centre (MRC) at Wellington.
Of late, it has been organising drills in various parts of the Centre to ensure that it is in a constant state of preparedness to deal with emergencies.
MRC sources said that a Rapid Response Team has been formed for this purpose. The members have been taught how to react if a terrorist attack takes place. Drills organised periodically simulate such situations and make members of the team respond.
In tune with this, a drill was organised at the Centre on Friday. Two ‘terrorists’ were cornered by well armed soldiers and ‘shot’.
