Woman injured in acid attack
Two unknown persons alleged threw acid at a woman at Menase village in Sringeri taluk on Saturday night.
The
incident happened around 8.30 p.m., when Sumana (35), the victim, was
returning home after closing her beauty parlour in the village. She
suffered injuries on her face and left hand. The victim has been
admitted to a hospital in Manipal for treatment.
Sringeri
police have registered the complaint filed by the victim. The victim,
in her complaint, said two unknown persons in a two-wheeler threw acid
at her and fled the place.
